I haven\'t seen that update yet. That is interesting though, an F2 would be more along the lines of the damage left. I would be interested to who who decided to upgrade it and what reasons were stated... I\'ll have to find the new report. though, I have to make a chase log for the storm I just finished with first.tanks for the note.

Larry,
Now living in Idaho, I've had my fun with an earthquake or three. The last "good one" though, I was driving down a curvy mountain river road and thought my truck was driving funny for a minute. My dad was only a few miles from the center ... being a really remote area he and a few others called the USGS and based on their reports they're experience was a 6.4 or so. As I recall the quake was 6.5-6.6. Being in a river plain in a mountain valley, alot of the effects were really amplified.

I don't get to chase as much as I used to. I do take a few photo trips with what storms we get around here but it sure aint the same. Everytime I'm able to travel back to the east or midwest... I spend most of the time staring at the sky :)

thanks for the note

I've only seen one tornado (well the funnel anyway) way back when in Saskatchewan -- but to actually be a storm chaser!
Here on the West Coast we don't see the type of prairie thunderheads and storms. I guess it's the next big tsunami and/or earthquake that'll be next. Have only experienced 6.2 Richter earthquake -- was in my 5th floor office -- the floor rolled underneath me, the windows shook but didn't break, my secretary went hysterical -- all in about 5 seconds -- so admire your fascination with chasing storms!
