It was a hard decision trying to pick a photo for the first real post of the new photo blog. I’m still a thousand photos behind from my last trip, largely due to my efforts over the past week to redesign the website. Looking through the folders of already processed photos from our two weeks in the Sawtooth, this photo caught my eye. Most Sego Lilies are white and usually have a touch of black and yellow. This one, found while hiking on a high mountain ridge full of white Sego Lilies, was pink. It was the only pink one there, in fact, the only pink one I’ve ever seen. I did a Google search before posting and found a couple blogs mentioning finding a pink Sego, but little information to share.
